Food in Paracas is expensive compared to many other places in Peru. Even the produce vendors and shops tend to be a bit pricey. A supermarket, Autoservicio Municipal, is just down form the Centro de Salud, near the Plaza Bolognesi (daily 10 .am.-8 p.m.). As can be expected, many varieties of fish and seafood (especially scallops) make their way onto the menu. Chicken also appears. Sometimes beef is not available (note: a lomo is a thin-cut steak; a churrasco is thicker).
