Colonia’s principal tourist office is located at Flores and Rivera (Tel: 2-3700) in the center of town. There’s also an office at the ferry port where additional information can be found upon arrival from Buenos Aires. Colonia is really small and easily navigated—you shouldn’t need anything more than a simple tourist map and your two feet to get most anywhere in town. The Plaza de Toros as well as some of Colonia’s outlying beaches can be reached by moped or bike.
