Renting Cabañas - Rental Cabo Polonio - Uruguay

If you would like to do as the Uruguayans do on vacation, you may want to stay in a rented cabaña, a small house. Facilities vary greatly, with some offering solar-powered hot water, a flushing toilet and electricity on a generator, while others are much simpler (and cheaper); all have a kitchen. Cabañas are available for two to six people, with some having a minimal rental length of a week, whereas others can be taken on a nightly basis. Many are available year round, but while options are particularly numerous in summer, their popularity means it’s best to book in advance. Useful websites for this are www.portaldelcabo.com.uy and www.cabopolonio.com/alquileresx.htm. At other times of year, you can just turn up and ask around, or look for the ‘alquiler’ (‘to rent’) signs. If you’re staying for a longer period, you may prefer to spend your first couple of nights in a hotel until you’ve found the cabaña you’re looking for.
