Manos del Uruguay

For whacky and wooly woven goods, Manos del Uruguay won't disappoint. Silly hats, oversize sacos (sweaters) and funky blazers can all be found here. With several locations throughout Montevideo, this tourist shop is unlikely to escape you. Doing business here contributes to sustainable development—Manos del Uruguay is a women's cooperative which organizes independent weavers from the interior and gives them an outlet for the sale of their goods.
