Hotel

By Amanda Massello

Though it's called an apart hotel, accommodation options at Punta Trouville are rooms more so than apartments. That said, this place is comfy and clean. Each apartment has its own terrace and a kitchenette with hot-plate, microwave, and refrigerator, as well as wireless internet, cable TV, air conditioning, safe deposit box, telephone, garage, and room service. With the wide selection of good, inexpensive eats in Pocitos, located just a stone’s throw away, you need not worry about the lack of full-service kitchen. A little secret: the penthouse comes with a living room and terrace with sea view and a Jacuzzi for just $104 a night for two people! The hotel also has its own internet café and cafeteria where the included American buffet breakfast is served. On the 12th floor there’s also a gym and solarium with a view of the Río de la Plata. Rates vary from $52 for an apartment with double bed to $120 for a five person apartment with two rooms. Guests rest easy knowing that the front desk is staffed 24 hours-a-day and each room is locked electronically.
