Posada Jama Chía

Overlooking the teleférico cars rising up the Sierra Nevada is this quaint inn run by Benedicta Guillén. Small and very quiet, it offers simply furnished shared rooms with bunk beds or double beds with firm mattresses. All share clean, modern bathrooms with hot water (7 a.m. to 10 p.m.). There are two sitting areas. From the dining room table in the one on the third floor, there is a spectacular view of the Parque Heroínas and mountains. Also, this posada has a kitchen and laundry area. Accommodation costs $5 US per person; prices rise during the high season (Easter Week, July-August, and Christmas-New Year).
