Traveler Reviews of Western Venezuela

Barquisimeto to Merida

Rating: 75%

We loved the experience of driving from Western Barquisimeto city through the transandean path to Merida. The road is in great shape (we feared the worst!) and there are many little villages along the way worth stopping by. A long trip overall, but with decent 'posadas' or hotels that are clean and serve great local meals. Can't wait to do it again!
