I am a senior at the University of Iowa, double majoring in English and Journalism. I love editing, reading, shopping and playing with my Chihuahua puppy, Beckham. I have been a dancer for 16 years and also enjoy riding & showing my horse, Scotch. Last summer I studied abroad in Durban, South Africa (one of God's many wonders) and jumped out of an airplane at 10,000 ft. over the Indian Ocean!

    The rural, surrounding areas of Durban, South Africa.

  • Bizarre experience

    Probably just being around people that are infected with HIV and AIDS when I worked in a clinic down in South Africa.

  • Advice

    Going along with my travel philosophy: Pack light, take lots of pictures, bring an extra battery for your camera, bring a neck pillow for the plane, and shop as much as you can!

  • Dream destination

    My dream destination would probably be a 5 star hotel in Australia or Fiji or Brazil.

  • Traveled before

    I have been to London, England; Durban, South Africa and the surrounding areas; Tiajuana, Mexico; and most of the states. Some of my favorite places in the states are: Palm Springs, San Diego & Los Angeles, CA, Fort Walton Beach, FL, Boston, Steamboat Springs & Denver, CO, and Dallas, TX.

    VEGAS BABY!!!! In August! Then, hopefully I will get the chance to go to Australia, India, and South America.
