I'm 23 and have so far been: an actor, a writer, a student, a website designer, a butcher, a sommelier, a festival-going hippy, a bad tenant, a temp, a freeloading lodger and am about to leave to go travelling before hopefully getting work out in Japan or china.

  • Hometown

    Oxford, UK

  • Location now

    Nowhere!

  • Work published

Have designed websites and brochures for various companies and written a short film called "Fifth Circle", premiered in Oxford last year.

  • Travel philosophy

Do something you'll always remember today: tomorrow's problems are tomorrow's problem.

  • Craziest place

Venezuela. Their cake shops sell toothpaste, they place giant billboards of heaving bosoms on hairpin mountain corners and one time the hostal's handyman fixed a broken cistern using only a spoon and a length of wire, cackling as he did so.

  • Bizarre experience

Being struck down with dengue fever and having a doctor called Freddy Star pushing down on my oesophagus while three needle-whielding nurses attempt to take my blood - and they asked me to keep still.....

  • Advice

Learn the language or there's no hope!

Border crossings are best done sober.

Pragmatic gringo's maxim - as soon as you arrive, find out how to leave!

  • Dream destination

    Japan... roll on March 2008!

  • Traveled before

Europe (west and south) Cuba, California.

  • Going next

After S. America it's on to S.E. Asia!
