A Brazialian Christmas party in Sydney. The Brazilians are crazy and I love them for it!
Bizarre experience
My first day in the Middle East, in Bahrain, where a man named Ahmed asked me to go for a drink with him in the middle of the afternoon. He took me into a very dark club where dozens of Saudi Arabian men were still dancing from the night before in a drunken stupor. Although stone sober, I joined in.
Advice
No matter who you travel with, take one or two days and venture off by yourself. You'll become more confident, meet more people, and get to know yourself better. If your travel mates to the same, you'll all have many more stories to tell each other, and probably many more local friends to enjoy the rest of your vacation with.
