I'm an open-minded and adventurous spirited British female traveller, taking a year off work at present to explore Latin America. So far I've covered a significant part of Mexico, and a little of Belize and Guatemala - the rest of Central and South America await me! I love writing and am looking forward to having the opportunity to share reviews and tips with other like-minded people on the road.
London, UK
Antigua, Guatemala
Nowhere yet - but this seems like a good place to start!
Try to learn (at least some of) the language, chat to the locals, get slightly off the beaten track - but stay safe!
Um, probably Mexico City - shady and shambolic in parts, but it was one of the places I loved most as well.
Being offered 'chapulines' (grasshoppers) for breakfast by my host family at a language school in Mexico (couldn't quite face them with my morning coffee!).
Try to make as many connections as you can while travelling, listen to (but don't be bound by) other people's advice and opinions, record your experiences, follow your instincts, make plans (but don't be afraid to mess them up from time to time!) - think that sums it up.
I feel I'm covering a lot of my dream destinations at present in Latin America. Fancy trying Japan next though, and long to return to New York.
Most of Europe, USA, Kenya, Hong Kong, Turkey, Egypt, Mexico, some of Central America.
The rest of Central America and then South America.
