I'm a Miami native who's traveled extensively. The daughter of a military man and granddaughter of a gypsy, travel is in my DNA! Good wine, cheese, people and the opportunity to embrace and learn new cultures is a wonderful thing! Put me on a train, plane, boat or in a car and I will make it the best of times anywhere! (I've tried several times to upload photos to my gallery with no success. I'll keep trying, but I hope to share them soon!)

Fashion Times (Miami Beach, FL), JUMP Magazine (New York City), Woman's World (California). Will continue to fill out as I pull dates and proper names of articles.
The journey is my home! I believe the world is ours to make home. Having a house in one part of the world doesn't mean we are limited to living there or making it home. The journey to each destination can become part of who we are. We can take it with us and leave a little part of ourselves behind.
To be quite honest, a friend and I were encouraged into visiting what we believed to be a nightclub in Barcelona, Spain. Now, I am a Spanish-speaker, but it didn't occur to me our driver was being sly. As we walked into this club, we immediately realized this was no ordinary nightclub, but somewhere only adults would frequent, if you know what I mean. We actually stayed, chatted with the employees, enjoyed some wine. The stage acts (to put it mildly) were quite crazy for people from the States. We left realizing that what may not be normal for some is quite okay and acceptable for others.
I look at bizarre as a wonderful thing! Meeting High Priestess Miriam, a Voo Doo priestess was absolutely bizarre, educational, enlightening and astounding! To learn about this culture and religion opened my mind to the fact there is so much we assume about others. She was patient and kind in her explanations and being included in her rituals was an honor.
Be open-minded. There is so much more out there than meets the eye. Embrace the opportunity to learn from everywhere you go. Be smart, be aware, but don't be so overly cautious you miss out on the people who can teach you so much!
This is difficult to narrow down to one destination. Diving with great white sharks near Seal Island off the coast of South Africa is way up there! Australia and New Zealand!
I've traveled to all but four of the United States, throughout Europe to include Ireland, England, Holland, Belgium, France and Spain. Colombia, of course! I've been to Mexico and Costa Rica several times as well as various islands in the Caribbean such as the Caymans and Jamaica.
