I am a recent graduate of Appalachian State University, with a degree in International Relations. I love traveling and learning about different cultures and social systems. I just finished living and working in Singapore for four months, and am ready for my next adventure.

I travel to learn about the world, it's people, and life itself.
When I was 18 I was volunteering in Monterrey Mexico and staying with a host family. The host family took me to church with them, which was in a rural area. there were about twenty people there, and they asked me to talk and then play guitar. As I was talking my host translated. They all came up and talked to me afterwords, even though they knew I didn't understand them.
My biggest piece of advice to travelers is to be open to the local culture. Try to learn about the people and talk to them instead of just going to tourist places and ignoring the reality of where you are.
