I'm on a continuos spiritual quest to understand myself, the world we inhabit, and my place in it. I've been seeking what I can now describe as "the holiest of holy moments" in nature, and the people I love, and can honestly say I have been lucky enough to experience many of these moments (especially recently).

  • Hometown

    Edison, New Jersey, United States

  • Location now

    Fort Collins, Colorado, United States

  • Work published

My mom's refrigerator door...That's about all I've got.

  • Travel philosophy

Laugh and the whole world laughs with you...or is it at you? (This is what happens when I am put on the spot).

  • Craziest place

Probably fighting a fire on the top of a ridge in northern Colorado that could only be reached by traversing a seemingly endless sprawl of horse carcasses in different stages of decomposition (yeah, pretty freakin surreal). Otherwise it was going on a fishing expedition to the heart of the jungle in Panama with home-made fishing lines all while wearing flip flops and no bug spray (then the torrential rain started).

  • Bizarre experience

I haven't had any real bizarre ones yet...I'll marinate on it for a while and get back to you.

  • Advice

When travelling (especially abroad) plan ahead but prepare to have those plans completely turned on end.

  • Dream destination

I don't really have one particular dream destination. I am drawn to any place in the world that has a rich history to it or is a sacred, spiritual place, especially secluded places in the heart of the wilderness. I've always wanted to visit the Temple at Chavin de Huantar in Peru or the Sengakuji temple in Japan where the 47 Ronin are buried. And I don't want to experience any of it alone.

  • Traveled before

I've done a lot of travelling within the United States (especially Colorado) to many national parks through my work as a wildland fire fighter and just for fun like Yellowstone and Medicine Bow National Forest and so many more. I've only been out of the country once and that was to Panama last summer.

  • Going next

I leave for Bolivia on June 11th to do some exploring and work with an Anthropology professor from Colorado State University and then I'm off to Ecuador on the 24th of June to see my amazing girlfriend in Quito while she finishes up her internship at VIVA.
