I am a senior journalism major at Temple University in Philadelphia. I spent the summer of 2005 in eastern Australia, and I just finished a semester studying German language and EU courses in Vienna, Austria. I traveled extensively throughout Europe while there. After graduation I hope to be a foreign correspondent for a newsweekly or freelance from overseas.

Travel philosophy
Skip the tours and cruises; Explore, get lost in order to discover the real identity of a place.
Craziest place
Dublin, Ireland during St. Patties Day weekend was the craziest place I have visited for somewhat obvious reasons. Thousands of people decked out in green were out all day and all night of the entire weekend. The atmosphere was electric and the feeling was contagious.
Dream destination
It's very difficult for me to pick just one destination when there is so much of the world that I have yet to explore. But I have always had a fascination for Indian culture, particularly the philosophies and religions that come out of that area. As a journalist interested in world news, India is a fascinating place where old and new collide, and no one can predict just how the country will progress. To experience and write about this first hand would be my dream experience abroad.
Traveled before
I traveled to eastern Australia on a student volunteer trip, which involved camping and conservation. I was in and around Cairns, Sydney, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Fraser Island. I studied abroad in Vienna Austria and spent a month in and around Germany (Frankfurt, Ebersbach, Heidelberg, Stuttgart, Fussen, Munich, Gmunden and Salzburg in western Austria, Berlin, Dusseldorf and Cologne). During and after my program in Vienna, I traveled to London, Dublin, Dundalk, Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Venice, Verona, Padua, Rimini, Vicenza, Bratislava, Budapest, Prague, Krakow, Retz, Znojmo.
