I'm a reader, a writer, and a traveler, the kind of gal who likes to get as filthy as possibly on a camping trip, and then spend hours in the bathtub undoing the damage.

    New York, NY, USA

  • Location now

    Quito, Ecuador

  • Travel philosophy

Solo travel is the most exhilarating and perhaps concentrated way to grow in two directions at once: inwardly, as you learn to listen to yourself, trust your instincts, and push your boundaries, and outwardly, as you reach out to others, rely on the kindness of strangers, and come into contact with personalities, philosophies and cultures different from your own.

  • Advice

Keep an open mind, get lost, remember that even a bad day on the road is probably more interesting and memorable than a fine day in front of the t.v. at home.

  • Dream destination

Since I was a kid, I've always dreamed of going to Africa.

  • Traveled before

I've been to most countries in South America, as well as Costa Rica, Mexico, Israel, Spain, Greece, and Jamaica.
