I am a lover of things foreign, animals, and outdoor sports (especially snow skiing). My husband and I originally moved to Argentina as owners and operators of a wine vineyard in Mendoza, but quickly learned that we needed to be around lakes and mountains. We moved to Bariloche and feel that we have found our calling here. We enjoy the trails and inspiring wilderness of Patagonia with our three dogs and cat. - Travel philosophy
My travel philosophy is to become a part of the local community as much as possible and enjoy every moment (even if it doesn't seem so wonderful at the time).
- Craziest place
The craziest place I have ever visited was the haunted hot springs of Los Molles, in Las Leñas Valley.
- Bizarre experience
The most bizarre (but amazing) cultural experience I have had the pleasure being a part of would have to be our farm's caretaker's daughter's fifteenth birthday celebration. It was more spectacular and meaningful than any wedding that I have ever been to.
- Advice
To loosen up and let it flow--don't feel that everything has to be scheduled. Sometimes the greatest experiences are those least expected.
- Dream destination
My dream destination would be Bhutan, hiking with my friend Gambu Sherpa.
- Traveled before
I have traveled through the majority of the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska. I also lived in Germany for a while and was able to visit Switzerland, Austria, Lichtenstein, France, Italy, and the Chech republic
